Rafa Benitez has re-ignited his long-standing feud with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson after being snubbed the traditional handshake in Sunday’s FA Cup clash.

Benitez’s Chelsea came from two goals down to earn a replay in their FA Cup quarter-final encounter at Old Trafford.

Goals from Eden Hazard and Ramires sealed a fine comeback after Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney had put the Red Devils in control.

However, prior to all the action, Benitez said Ferguson failed to shake his hand before the game and after the contest, he didn’t wait around for the Scot, preferring to celebrate with his players.

“I was waiting – I was waiting at the beginning [of the match],” Benitez said.

“Yeah. It’s his decision. I was ready and waiting [to shake], I have some education.

“I was waiting, I have education because I know that a lot of people are watching so I know what I have to do.”
