When someone talks about Team USA, it usually becomes the highlight of the Olympic Games and everyone has been waiting for their lineup. The 2021 Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo with an expected more than 50 hoopers from the NBA.
Fans are also ecstatic to see who will be called to become representatives for the USA Basketball Men’s National Team.
This year’s Olympics will not be expecting Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and Anthony Davis. While they are out, some of the superstars, such as Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Damian Lillard might be potentially making an appearance for the Stars and Stripes.
For LeBron James’ career, he is set to play a major role on the silver screen this summer. After the Lakers got eliminated by the Phoenix Suns, James shared during their post-game press conference to promote “Space Jams 2”, where Michael Jordan was once the lead star on the 1st installment.
At the same time, he is not planning to return to USA Basketball Men’s National Team in Tokyo Olympics. The 36-year-old James has been forced to miss the majority of the games this season because of his ankle injury. His partner, Anthony Davis, was also recovering from his injury, which might have been one of the major reasons why the defending champion loses.
James has been a member of the Olympic teams in 2004, 2008, and 2021, and brought pride when he won the Olympic gold medal twice.
