World number four David Ferrer has celebrated his 20th ATP tour title of his career after taking out the Copa Claro title in Buenos Aires on Sunday.
The Spaniard triumphed over Switzerland’s Stanislas Wawrinka 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, to secure his second crown of the calendar year.
“Winning 20 ATP tournaments is tough to do,” Ferrer said.
“Never in my life did I think I would win 20. It is something that, well, dreams come true more than we think.”
Ferrer, who defeated Nicolas Almagro at last year’s tournament, promised he’d be back to defend his title again.
“I will be back next year,” he said.
“I’ll keep coming back here until my legs can hold up anymore.”
