Duesseldorf, Germany – At the final round of the World Team Cup, the contenders for the United States team will be going against Argentina’s players after Americans Mike and Bob Bryan took the victory against the Czech Republic.
Sam Querrey did his best to put the United States ahead in the singles division by defeating Jan Hajeck, the defeat of John Isner by Tomas Berdych leveled all odds for singles. On the other hand, the twins rose back from a deficit and defeated Berdych and Lukas Dlouhy.
As for his loss, John Isner said, “I got off to a really good start and I actually continued it really early in the second… But he picked up his game, he picked his return of serve, obviously because he broke me three times in the second set. And then when we went into the third it was a real dogfight… Still, I played pretty well. I still like the way I’m playing heading into the French Open.”
The finals is going to be held really soon, and with Argentina seeking its fourth title, the United States team will have to make sure that the Argentines are blocked from obtaining the victory, since they are also aiming to win its fifth title.
