Friendlies Wrap: Chelsea & Liverpool Beaten

Chelsea and Liverpool were beaten in the United States in pre-season action on Wednesday, while Manchester United recorded a 1-0 victory away to Shanghai Shenhua.
The European champions went down 3-2 to an MLS All Stars XI in Pennsylvania, with John Terry and Frank Lampard on the scoresheet before the hosts rallied to fight back from 2-1 down.
Elsewhere, the Reds were downed 2-1 by AS Roma in Boston, with American Michael Bradley and Alessandro Florenzi scoring for the Italians, before Charlie Adam scored a late consolation goal.
In China, new Red Devils signing Shinji Kagawa got the only goal after Bebe’s good work to claim a 1-0 triumph over Shanghai Shenhua, who were without Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.
Meanwhile, LA Galaxy drew 1-1 with Tottenham, while Aston Villa won on penalties after a 2-2 draw with Portland Timbers.
Finally, German champions Borussia Dortmund won 2-1 over St Gallen, while French champs Montpellier won 3-0 over Sporting Kansas City.
