Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has moved to quell speculation linking Juventus star Andrea Pirlo with the club.
The veteran, who played a key role in Italy’s run to the Euro 2012 final as well as Juventus’ 2011-12 Serie A title success, had been reportedly on the wishlist of Bayern.
However, Rummenigge told the Bayern website that there has been no move for the Italian.
“FC Bayern have neither made an offer to Juventus, nor have FC Bayern had any contact with the player or his agent,’’ Rummenigge said.
Bayern, who finished as runners-up last term in the Bundesliga, Uefa Champions League and DFB Pokal, have already signed Mario Mandzukic, Claudio Pizarro and Xherdan Shaqiri this off-season.
