Yoann Gourcuff has been left out of Laurent Blanc’s final 23-man France squad ahead of the 2012 European Championships.
The Olympique Lyon midfielder has been overlooked after making the initial 27-man squad, along with Montpellier’s Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, while Loic Remy and Younes Kaboul drop out due to injury.
Gourcuff failed to impress in a friendly against Iceland after an unimpressive season in France with Lyon.
France are in Group D alongside England, Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine. Les Bleus kick off their campaign against England on June 11.
