Liverpool stars Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres both are facing the prospect of undergoing the knife soon in order to combat with their respective injuries more effectively.
Reds manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed that club captain Steven Gerrard would not travel with the rest of the squad to France to take on Olympique Lyon in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Torres too would miss the clash after failing to recover from his own problems and it is likely that both of them would have to go under the knife to recover their fitness.
