Italian and European powerhouse AC Milan are still chasing Serbian international Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United and are reported to make a formal bid in the summer of 2009.

Il Corriere Dello Sports reports that chiefs at Milan have set themselves to sign the highly rated Serbian international centre-back as they think that he would be the solution to their defensive frailties.
Reports suggest that Milan are willing to splash out as much as 20 million euros for the 27-year old but Vidic has a contract with the reigning Premier League and European champions Man United until 2012 and it is not very likely that Vidic would like to barter United for Milan.
The Italian club are in desperate need of summer reinforcements at the back as legendary Paolo Maldini is set to leave at the end of the season while Alessandro Nesta has been struggling with injuries for quite some time.
