Reigning Premiership and European champions Manchester United were pretty much busy on the final day of the summer transfer season as they racked one of the best strikers in the world.
Man United have been chasing the Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov for quite some time and finally signed the highly rated out-and-out striker from Tottenham Hotspur for around 30 million pounds. As part of the deal Man United youngster Fraizer Campbell shall play for Spurs for a season on loan.
Dimitar Berbatov is Sir Alex Ferguson’s first major signing of the summer and incidentally the last. But it has to be said that the Scot has accomplished a very good piece of business as this will only enhance Man United’s chances to retain both their Premiership and European titles.
