Jonathan Bernier
Jonathan Bernier is a Canadian goalie in the Los Angeles Kings’ organization.
Bernier was drafted 11th overall by the Kings in 2006, after winning 27 games witn a 2.70 GAA in his second season of play in the QMJHL. He continued to improve his numbers in juniors until 2007, when he was called up for 4 games with the Kings. He was sent back down to the AHL, where he played the last two seasons. He made 3 appearances with LA during the 2009-10 season, and won all of them, recording one shutout and allowing just 4 goals. If it was not for the emergence of Jonathan Quick, Bernier would likely be given a shot at the starting role a little sooner, and he may get one in 2010.
Bernier won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2008 World Juniors.
