• Czech Extraliga - The Czech Extraliga is the top flight of Czech ice-hockey. The league consists of ten teams and was formed when the Czechoslovak Extraliga was split in two, the other being the Slovak Extraliga. The league bears the name of the sponsor and frequently changes. In 2006/07 it was the O2 Extraliga.
• Elitserien - The highest level in Swedish hockey founded in 1975 and comprises 12 teams.
• National Hockey League - The National Hockey League (NHL) is a professional sports organization composed of ice hockey teams in North America. Its French name is Ligue Nationale de Hockey (LNH).
• Russian Super Hockey League - The highest division of Russian hockey includes 19 teams and is considered the second best hockey league in the world after the NHL.
• SM-liiga - Finnish top division in hockey.
• Swiss-A - The Swiss-A, or Nationalliga A in German and Ligue Nationale A in French, is the top flight of Swiss ice hockey. It comprises 12 teams.
