Ben Lovejoy
Ben Lovejoy is an American defenseman on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Lovejoy was never drafted by an NHL team, but was offered a number of contracts during his college career at Boston and Dartmouth Colleges. He finished school at Dartmouth in 2007, and joined the Norfolk Admirals. The following offseason, he was picked up by the Pittsburgh farm system, and he spent the last two years with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, scoring 51 points in 153 AHL games. He made his NHL debut in 2009, appearing in 2 games, but did not record any stats. He had 3 points in 12 games during the 2009-10 season for the Penguins, and will compete for a full-time roster spot again this year.
