Nikita Filatov is a Russian winger on the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Filatov was drafted 8th overall by Columbus in 2008, after scoring 47 points in the Russian junior leagues. he played 8 games for the Blue Jackets the next year, but was demoted to the AHL, where he scored 32 points in 2008-09. He left the Blue Jackets in 2009 to play in Russia, where he scored 22 points in 26 games for CSKA Moscow. He returned to Columbus in 2010 and will be expected to help replace Nikolai Zherdev on the roster.
Filatov played for Team Russia at 5 different international competitions, including 3 consecutive World Juniors.
