- Toronto Maple Leafs 2010 - present
Brayden Irwin is a Canadian center on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Irwin was never drafted, but played his college hockey at the University of Vermont. He joined the team in 2006, and led the team in scoring with 15 goals and 34 points during his final year. His impressive showing during his final collegiate campaign earned him the attention of the NHL scouts. Toronto GM Brian Burke has long been a supporter of the American college programs, and Irwin was signed to an entry level deal with the Leafs after the end of the Frozen Four. He made his debut near the end of the 2009-10 season, and is expected to compete for a spot on the Leafs’ roster at training camp.
