Mikael Owilli

Mikael Owilli is a Swedish defenseman on Mora IK.

Owilli is a big tough defenseman that developed through Hammarby’s junior team. In 2005-06, he made his mark with 13 points and 81 penalty minutes in the SuperElit. He played the entire 2006-07 season with Hammarby’s senior team in the Allsvenskan, but had only 3 points. The next year, he saw more ice time and had 8 points and 36 penalty minutes. He came to North America for a season in 2008-09, scoring 20 points and notching 88 penalty minutes in 57 games for the Indiana Ice in the USHL. He returned to Sweden in 2009, signing with Mora, but suffered an injury that shortened his season to only 10 games.
