Niclas Lundgren

Niclas Lundgren is a Swedish defenseman on Vasteras IK.

Lundgren is a homegrown member of Vasteras, having played his youth and junior hockey with the club. In 2004, he joined the club's junior squad, spending the next 4 years with the team's J18 and J20 teams. He made his senior debut in 2008, appearing in 7 games, while spending most of the season in juniors, scoring 8 points and 50 penalty minutes in 39 games. He played his first full season in 2008-09, recording 2 points and 43 penalty minutes in 44 games, and remained with the senior club in 2009. He put up only 3 points, but drastically reduced his penalty minutes to only 18.
