Topi Jaakola

Topi Jaakola is a Finnish defenseman on Sodertalje SK.

Jaakola was drafted in 2002 by the Florida Panthers after playing his first full season with Karpat in the SM-Liiga. He played the next 6 years with Karpat, recording a career high 14 points and 46 penalty minutes with the club in 2007-08. He won four league championships with Karpat, in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008, and signed with Sodertalje in 2008.

Jaakola played with Finland at the 2009 World Championships and was named one of the top 3 players on the Finnish team.
