Pierre Hedin is a Swedish defenseman on Sodertalje SK.
Hedin was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1999, after posting 11 points and 28 penalty minutes in his first full season with MODO in the Elitserien. He had played parts of the previous two years with MODO’s senior club, and remained in Sweden through 2003, posting a career high 22 points before joining Toronto’s AHL team in 2003. He had 24 points in the AHL with St. John’s, but appeared in only 3 NHL games before returning to Sweden during the lockout. He played a season in Germany and split the ‘06-07 season between Sweden and Switzerland, returning to MODO in 2007. He won the league championship with the club that season, and played two more years before joining Sodertalje in 2009.
Hedin played for Sweden at the ‘98 World Juniors and the 2002 World Championships.
