Mattias Karlsson
Mattias Karlsson is a Swedish defenseman on Timra IK.
Karlsson was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2003, after recording 17 points and 93 penalty minutes in the Swedish junior league with Brynas. He spent the next two years with Brynas, splitting time between the junior and senior clubs. In 2005, he was demoted to the Allsvenskan, where he played with Almtuna for a year before joining Bofors. He was called up to the Elitserien for 13 games with Farjestads BK, before joining the Binghamton Senators in the AHL. He had a good year with Binghamton in 2008-09, scoring 51 points, but returned to Sweden in 2009, joining Timra in the Elitserien.
