Andreas Salomonsson
Andreas Salomonsson is a Swedish left winger on Modo Hockey.
Salomonsson was drafted in 2001 by the New Jersey Devils, after scoring 22 points for Djurgardens in 2000-01. He had played for ten years in the Elitserien, all but his final season with Modo Hockey. In 1998-99, he had a career year, scoring 13 goals and 26 points to go with 60 penalty minutes. After being drafted, he joined the Devils in 2001, but played in only 39 games, scoring 9 points. He split the next season between the Washington Capitals and their AHL affiliate, but returned to Modo in 2003. He wont he league championship with the team in 2007, and scored a career high 15 goals and 43 points in 2007-08.
Salomonsson played for Sweden at the 2001 and 2004 World Championships, winning a bronze medal in ’01 and a silver in ’04.
