Andreas Pihl

Andreas Pihl is a Swedish defenseman on Linkopings HC.

Pihl was never drafted by an NHL team, and has spent nearly his entire career in Sweden. As a big, physical defenseman, Pihl has never scored more than 13 points in an Elitserien season. He scored 12 points in ’99-00, during his rookie season with Modo Hockey. He spent two more seasons with Modo, topping the 100 penalty minute mark in his final season with the team. He joined Linkopings in 2002, and has spent all but one of the last 8 seasons with the team. In 2005-06, he set a career high with 146 penalty minutes, and decided to spent the next year playing in Austria. He scored 18 points for Salzburg EC, and returned to Linkopings the next year.
