John Carlson

John Carlson is an American defenseman on the Washington Capitals.

Carlson was drafted in the first round of the 2008 draft by the Capitals, after scoring 43 points in the USHL with the Indiana Ice. He spent 2008-09 in the OHL with the London Knights, scoring 76 points. He joined the Hershey Bears for the playoffs in 2009, and remained with the Bears for the 2009-10 season. He was called up to the Capitals in November of 2009, and made his debut against Montreal.
