Jay Beagle is a Canadian center on the Washington Capitals.

Beagle was never drafted, but played college hockey at the University of Alaska-Anchorage after scoring 70 points in his final season of junior hockey with the Calgary Royals. He joined the Hershey bears in 2007, and scored 37 points in his first season. He scored only 9 points the following season, but was called up to Washington near the end of the 2009 season. He was called up to the Caps again in November of 2009 to help fill the void caused by Alexander Semin’s injury.
