Cody Franson is a Canadian defenseman on the Nashville Predators.
Franson was drafted by Nashville in 2005, while playing for the Vancouver Giants in the WHL. He scored 55 points for the Giants in 2005-06, helping them win the WHL league title. He spent another season in the WHL before playing two years in the AHL, where he scored 52 points in 2008-09 with the Milwaukee Admirals. Franson made the Predators’ starting roster in 2009.
Franson won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2007 World Juniors.
