John Armstrong

John Armstrong is a Canadian center on the Calgary Flames.

Armstrong was drafted by the Flames in 2006, while playing in the OHL with the Plymouth Whalers. Armstrong earned the selection after posting 14 goals and 37 points in 2005-06, along with 75 penalty minutes. In 2007, he split the season between Plymouth and the Peterborough Petes, totaling 45 points. In his final season in the OHL, he scored 21 goals and 57 points, earning a callup to the AHL. He made the Flames’ roster out of training camp in 2009, but has yet to appear in an NHL game.
