Vladimir Sobotka is a Czech center on the St. Louis Blues.
Sobotka was drafted by the Bruins in 2005, but spent two more seasons playing in the Czech Republic before coming to North America. In 2007, he made his NHL debut, playing in 48 games for the Bruins, scoring 7 points. In 2008-09, he played in only 25 games, scoring 5 points. He had a better season in 2009-10, appearing in 61 games and finishing with 10 points while playing mostly on the 3rd and 4th lines. He was traded to St. Louis for a prospect in the 2010 offseason.
Sobotka has played for the Czech Republic at 3 World Junior tournaments, winning a bronze medal at the 2004 U18 tourney.
