Mark Popovic

Mark Popovic is a Canadian defenseman on the Atlanta Thrashers.

Popovic was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in 2001, but played only one game for the Ducks before being signed by the Thrashers. He has spent most of his career bouncing back and forth between the minors and the NHL, appearing in 43 games for the Thrashers over the past four seasons. Popovic spent 2008-09 playing with St. Petersburg in the KHL in Russia, where he scored 8 goals and 22 points. He returned to Atlanta for the 2009-10 season and made the starting roster.
