Teemu Laine

Teemu Laine is a Finnish right winger on HV71.

Laine was drafted 39th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2000, but has never played in North America. He has spent most of his career playing in the Finnish SM-liiga, with Jokerit and Tappara Tampere. He joined Jokerit in 1999, scoring 2 points in his first 14 games of professional hockey. In 2003-04, he scored 13 points and recorded 50 penalty minutes, and also won a league title in 2002. He joined Tappara in 2004, where he had a breakout season in 2006-07. That year he set a career high with 136 penalty minutes, but also recorded 30 points. He joined TPS in 2007, where he scored a career high 45 points, which earned him the attention of HV71. He signed with the club in 2008, and won a league silver medal in 2008-09.
