Niklas Andersson is a Swedish winger on Frolunda HC.

Andersson was drafted in 1989 by the Quebec Nordiques, while playing junior hockey with Frolunda. He would play two seasons in the Elitserien, scoring 31 points in 1989-90, before coming to North America. He played 3 games for the Nordiques in 1992-93, but then spent the next three seasons in the IHL and AHL. He joined the New York Islanders in 1995-96, and scored 43 points for the club in ’96-97. He played five games for the San Jose Sharks in 1998, but continued to spend most of his time in the IHL. He spent most of his time in the IHL with the Chicago Wolves, scoring 33 goals and 72 points for them in 2000-01, his best season in terms of points. In 1999-00, he played 7 games for Nashville before being re-signed by the Islanders. In 2001, he played 11 games for Calgary, before finally deciding to head back to Sweden. He returned to Frolunda, and scored 46 points in his first season back in the Elitserien. In 2005-06, he recorded 38 assists and 51 points, his highest point totals in Swedish play.
