Curtis Sanford
Curtis Sanford is a Canadian goalie on the Montreal Canadiens.
Sanford was undrafted, but was signed by St. Luois in 2000, and joined the club in 2002. He played parts of 3 seasons with the blues, including a career high 34 games in 2005-06, where he won 13 games and posted a 2.66 GAA. In 2007, he was signed by Vancouver as a backup goalie. In 2008-09, he played 19 games while Roberto Luongo was out with an injury. He won 7 of his 15 starts, and recorded a very respectable 2.59 GAA. However, he went down with an injury and was placed on waivers after the Canucks acquired another backup and Luongo got healthy. He finished the season in the minors, and signed a contract with the Montreal Canadiens. He won 23 games during 2009-10, and will be competing for the backup job with Alex Auld in 2010.
