Pavol Demitra is a Slovakian winger on Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Demitra was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 1993, where he played only 47 games before being traded to St. Louis in 1997. With the Blues, Demitra had the best seasons of his career, scoring a career high in goals with 37 in 1998-99, and setting a career best in points with 93 in 2002-03. He signed with Los Angeles in 2005-06, and spent a season there before joining the Minnesota Wild in 2006. After two seasons in Minnesota, he signed with Vancouver in the 2008 offseason. Demitra is a 3 time NHL All Star, and won the Lady Byng Trophy in 2000. Demitra had a couple good years with Vancouver, posting 20 goals and 53 points in 2008-09, and, although he was limited to just 28 games in the regular season during 2009-10, scored 6 points in the first two rounds of the postseason. He was unsigned after the 2010 offseason, and opted to sign with Lokomotiv for 2010-11.

Demitra has played for Slovakia at a number of different international competitions, winning two bronze medals at the ’93 World Juniors and the 2003 World Championships.
