Milan Michalek is a Czech winger on the Ottawa Senators.
Michalek was drafted 6th overall by San Jose in 2003, and joined the team for his first full season in 2005. He scored 35 points his rookie year, followed by a breakout 66 point season in 2006-07. Michalek recorded 55 and 57 points in his last two seasons in San Jose, and has developed into a very solid 20-goal scorer. In 2009, during the offseason, Michalek and teammate Jonathan Cheechoo were traded to Ottawa for superstar Dany Heatley, who had demanded a trade out of Ottawa.
