Dwight Helminen is an American center on the San Jose Sharks.
Helminen was drafted by Edmonton in 2002, but went on to play college hockey at Michigan before going professional. By the time he debuted in the NHL, he had been traded to New York and then Carolina. He played 23 games for the Hurricanes in 2008-09, and finished with 2 points. He was traded to San Jose in 2009, and appeared in 4 games for the Sharks.
