Anton Babchuk
Anton Babchuk is a Ukrainian defenseman on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Babchuk was drafted 21st overall by Chicago in 2002, after playing junior hockey in Russia. He joined the Blackhawks in 2004, and spent parts of two seasons in Chicago before being traded to Carolina. He won the Stanley Cup with Carolina in 2006, but returned to Russia in 2008 to play with Omsk of the Russian SuperLeague. He was suspended by the Hurricanes, but has been re-signed and played most of this season with the club.
Babchuk has played for Russia at 4 different international competitions.
