Alexander Frolov is a Russian winger on the New York Rangers.

Frolov was drafted by the Kings in 2000, 20th overall. He played a season in the Russian Super League before joining the Kings in 2002. He had a solid rookie season, posting 31 points, but broke out as a top-tier scorer after the lockout. Since then, he has scored at least 20 goals and 50 points in every season. He set career highs in 2006-07, with 35 goals and 71 points. He had another 30 goal season in 2008-09, and helped the Kings reach the playoffs in 2010 with a 19 goal, 51 point season. Coming to the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, Frolov opted to sign with the New York Rangers where he may end up playing opposite Marian Gaborik on the top line.

Frolov has played for Russia internationally a number of times, winning a bronze medal at the 2007 World Championships and a gold medal at the 2002 World Juniors.
