Chuck Kobasew
Chuck Kobasew is a Canadian winger on the Minnesota Wild.
Kobasew was drafted by Calgary 14th overall in 2004, after winning MVP during the 2001 Frozen Four tournament, where he won a National Championship with Boston College. He joined the Flames for 23 games in 2003, and developed into a gritty forward, capable of scoring 20 goals a season. He was traded to Boston in 2007, where set new career highs in his first season there, with 22 goals and 39 points. Kobasew eclipsed his previous career highs in 2008-09, scoring 21 goals and 42 points. He began the season with Boston, but was traded to Minnesota after only 7 games with the Bruins.
Kobasew won a gold medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships with Team Canada.
