Johnny Oduya
Johnny Oduya is a Swedish defenseman on the Atlanta Thrashers
Oduya was drafted by Washington in 2001, but played 3 seasons in the Swedish Elitserien with Djurgardens IF and Frolunda HC before coming to the NHL, by which time he had been signed by the Devils. He was a mainstay in the Devils’ lineup since joining the club, and had an impressive season in 2007-08, scoring 26 points and recording a +27 rating. He scored a career high 29 points in 2008-09, but was traded to Atlanta midway through the next season as part of the deal that sent Ilya Kovalchuk to the Devils.
