Jay Leach
Jay Leach is an American defenseman on the San Jose Sharks.
Leach was drafted by Phoenix in 1998, but did not make his NHL debut until 2005, when he played 2 games with the Boston Bruins. He then played 2 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2007, before signing with the Devils in the 2008 offseason. During the 2008-09 season, Leach saw the most playing time of his NHL career, playing in 24 games with New Jersey, recording 1 point and 24 penalty minutes. Leach also made the Devils roster for the postseason. In 2009, he joined the Montreal Canadiens to start the season, but was moved to San Jose midway through the year, and played 28 games for the Sharks, helping them reach the Western Conference Finals, where they lost to the Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks.
