Peter Budaj
Peter Budaj is a Slovakian goalie on the Colorado Avalanche.
Budaj was drafted by Colorado in 2001, after playing for the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors in the OHL. He broke into the NHL in 2005, winning 14 of 34 starts that season. His best season came in his sophomore year, when he posted a 2.68 GAA on the way to winning 31 games. He earned himself the starting job for the 2008-09 season, but has since split time with fellow keeper Andrew Raycroft.
Budaj has played for Team Slovakia at 5 international competitions, including 3 junior tournaments, the 2004 World Cup and the 2006 Winter Olympics.
