Nathan Oystrick is a Canadian defenseman on the St. Louis Blues.
Oystrick was drafted by Atlanta in 2002, but went on to play college hockey at Northern Michigan University. He then spent the next three seasons with the Chicago Wolves in the AHL. Oystrick made the Thrashers’ permanent roster out of training camp in 2008, and ended up playing 53 games for the Thrashers. He scored 4 goals and 12 points that season before being traded to the Anaheim Ducks in 2009. He played most of the season in the AHL, and appeared in just 3 games for the Ducks, recording just 2 penalty minutes. He was signed by the Blues in the 2010 offseason, and will once again be hoping to get another shot at making a permanent NHL roster.
