Derick Brassard

Derick Brassard is a Canadian center on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Brassard was drafted by Columbus in 2006, 6th overall. Brassard broke into professional hockey with the Blue Jackets’ AHL affiliate, and earned a call up to Columbus in 2008, where he played 17 games at the end of the season. Brassard earned rookie of the month in October 2008 after earning himself a permanent roster spot out of training camp.
