Sami Kapanen is a Finnish hockey player who plays right wing forward in Philadelphia Flyers. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in 1995 but started his pro career in the Finnish SM-liiga in 1990.
Kapanen has played in two NHL All-Star Games, one SM-liiga First All-Star Team, he holds two Olympic Bronze Medals, and was awarded with the Gene Hart Award for showing best work ethic and determination.
