Ian Laperriere is a Canadian right winger on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Laperriere was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 1992, after playing in the QMJHL. He spent parts of 3 seasons with St. Louis, but saw limited playing time before being traded to the New York Rangers in 1995. He would finish that season in Los Angeles, where he became known as one of the grittiest players in the NHL. Over the next 8 seasons with the Kings, Laperriere recorded over 120 penalty minutes in all but the 2003-04 season, setting a career high in ’99-00 with 185. He signed with the Avalanche in 2005, where he set a career high with 21 goals and 45 points in ’05-06, as well as recording 116 penalty minutes. In 2008-09, Laperriere scored 7 goals and 19 points for a struggling Avalanche team, while racking up 163 more penalty minutes. In the offseason, he was up for a new contract, but was unable to come to terms with Colorado. Philadelphia signed him to a 3 year deal once free agency opened on July 1, 2009. In 1001 NHL games, Laperriere has 316 points and 1794 penalty minutes.
