Chris Phillips is a Canadian defenseman on the Ottawa Senators.
Phillips was drafted 1st overall in 1996, by Ottawa, after 3 standout seasons in the WHL. He joined the Senators in 1997, and has been one of their most consistent defensemen over the last 11 seasons. He had his best statistical season in 2006-07, posting 8 goals and 18 assists for 26 points, as well as 80 penalty minutes, helping the Sens reach the Cup Finals. He is also an alternate captain for the Senators.
Phillips has won 3 medals with Team Canada, with 2 golds at the ’96 and ’97 U20 World Championships and a silver medal at the 2005 World Championships.
