Noah Welch

Noah Welch is an American defenseman on the Atlanta Thrashers.

Welch was drafted in 2001 by Pittsburgh, and went on to captain the Harvard University hockey team. He scored a goal on his own net in his first NHL game with the Penguins, while also scoring his first real NHL goal later in the same game. He was traded to Florida in 2006, but saw very limited playing time during his stay in Florida. He was traded to Tampa Bay at the 2009 trade deadline, but played only 17 games with the club. In 2010, he signed with the Thrashers and will attempt to earn a roster spot at the 2010 training camp.
