Rhett Warrener is a Canadian defenseman on the Calgary Flames.
Warrener was drafted by Florida in 1994. He spent four seasons with Florida, before being traded to Buffalo. He was a member of the 1996 Florida Panthers team which lost in the Cup Finals, as well as the 1999 Sabres, who lost to the Stars on the infamous crease goal. Warener was traded to Calgary in 2003, and lost in the Cup Finals again in 2004. Warrener has a name as a hard nosed, hard-hitting defenseman, with little offensive touch. In 714 NHL games, he has 106 points, a +73 rating and 899 penalty minutes.
