Marcus Nilson
Marcus Nilson is a Swedish left winger on the Calgary Flames.
Nilson was drafted by Florida in 1996 in the 1st round, after playing with Djurgardens IF in the Elitserien. He played with Florida for 6 years before returning to Djurgardens during the 2004-05 lockout. In 2000-01, he had his best season, finishing with 12 goals and 36 points. Nilson has made a name for himself as a solid checking forward who has the ability to contribute offensively as well. He played the last three seasons with Calgary, where he has seen his production slip dramatically. He was placed on waivers, but cleared without being picked up and will be given another shot at training camp.
