Schultz was drafted by Washington in 2004, but did not join the club until 2006. He played the whole season in 2007-08, finishing with 5 goals and 18 points, logging a solid amount of ice time per game. Schultz, along with Shaone Morrison, Milan Jurcina and star Mike Green are a key part of a young Washington team that has begun to rebuild itself from the inside out.
