Sami Lepisto

Sami Lepisto is a Finnish defenseman on the Phoenix Coyotes.

Lepisto was drafted by Washington in 2004, and continued playing in the Finnish SM-liiga until 2007. He spent four seasons with Jokerit, putting up solid offensive numbers for a defenseman. He played only 7 games with the Capitals last season, spending most of the season in the AHL, where he scored 45 points in 55 games. In 2009, he was signed by Phoenix, where he made the starting roster for the 2009-10 season.

Lepisto played for Finland at the 2004 World Junior Championships, and was named the best defenseman of the tournament.
